<p class="texto">Temer foi preso em março de 2019 após determinação do juiz Marcelo Bretas, sob suspeita de ter cometido delitos de corrupção ativa e lavagem de dinheiro em negociações de contratos da estatal Eletrobras. No mês seguinte, ele foi libertado e teve a prisão substituída por medidas cautelares.</p>
<p class="texto">“Eu não fui preso, fui sequestrado. <a href="/politica/2021/09/4949371-entrevista-michel-temer.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Não havia indiciamento, denúncia, nem uma representação</a>. E o juiz [Bretas] fez o que fez. Se viesse a mim para que eu comparecesse, é claro que iria. Eles me esperaram sair de casa, me pegaram na rua, com fuzil, para sequestrar”, comentou Temer sobre o episódio.</p>
